In a perfect world, every new mom and baby would get unhurried time with a specifically trained lactation professional at least within the first week or two of birth, but that doesn't always happen. I'm here to help fill in the gap!

With this course, you will have answers to tons of breastfeeding questions before you even know what to ask, as well as my professional support.

Having a new baby can be overwhelming and isolating enough as it is (especially in the past couple years). New moms need support and resources more than ever!

Breastfeeding is natural, but does that mean it comes naturally for everyone? No way!

But you're about to learn two things that many parents don't realize at first.

FIRST: There actually is quite a bit to know about breastfeeding that many first time parents aren't told, and plenty of common breastfeeding myths, BUT....

SECOND: Most of it is really not that complicated, and learning it as early as possible gives you a HUGE head start towards feeling confident and avoiding the overwhelm and stress that new parents can feel when breastfeeding is totally new to them.

Unfortunately, the past year or two in particular have seen breastfeeding & postpartum support go downhill even more (and mom stress probably up, I imagine!). With this course, I'd love to help change that! Especially since breastfeeding has such incredible benefits for your baby's immune system.

In this course, you'll learn:

  • How to get a great latch
  • How milk production works
  • How to increase or decrease your milk supply
  • How often & how much your baby should eat
  • How to know if your baby is getting enough milk
  • when growth spurts happen & how to use them to your advantage
  • What to expect the first weeks & months
  • and more :)

Only about half of moms are still breastfeeding at the 6 month mark.

Unfortunately, you can't always count on our culture--or even our medical system--to get you feeling trained and well-informed in the area of breastfeeding.

From social media to blogs and from parenting books to in-laws, there's plenty of BAD breastfeeding information out there.

Our hospitals, doctors, and nurses are often stretched thin for time as it is. Some will also admit that their breastfeeding knowledge & training is quite limited (and unfortunately I've heard stories of bad advice being given too). As amazing as healthcare workers are, we all have limitations!

With the right info, support, encouragement, and confidence you have a much better chance of reaching your goals. <3

Compassionate Support

According to USA Today, "Support for breastfeeding moms is already abysmal. The pandemic is making it worse." We all know moms need a village, and with this course you won't be alone!

Reliable Information

Spare yourself the trouble of weeding through all the multitude of opinions and sketchy info on mom blogs & social media ;)

Personal Interaction

Unlike some larger courses, I plan to keep this course small enough to be able to answer your questions and interact with you as an individual. <3

Hi! I'm your instructor, Jessie. I'm a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and a mom of three kiddos including twins. When my first son was born, I was blessed to have experienced breastfeeding mom peers to look to, and an older mama had also gifted me with the awesome info-packed book The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding

I believe these things (support and good information) played a huge part in my ability to exclusively breastfeed my first son and later my twins for about two years each. It was a great gift in my life. <3 I then pursued my CBC certification because I'm passionate about trying to help connect other mamas with the support they need to feel confident as a mom and reach their own breastfeeding goals.

I am not against formula, but I believe many women may be pushed that direction unnecessarily if they are not given the info, encouragement, and support they need and deserve (especially where lower income and/or poor quality health care is a factor). Average estimates of the cost of one year of baby formula range from $800 to nearly $2000!

Breastfeeding aside, I just want other mamas to know they're not alone, even if it's through an online video course series. You're gonna do great, mama!
